What we do

Six services, each one rehearsed until it looks effortless.

Cut & Finish

A precision cut mapped to your face shape and how your hair actually grows, finished with a blowout that holds.

Color & Balayage

Hand-painted color built for low-maintenance growth-out, plus corrective color for the box-dye regrets.

Bond & Scalp Therapy

Rebuilding treatments for chemically or heat-damaged hair, paired with a scalp massage that people fall asleep in.

Bridal & Occasion

A trial run weeks out, then day-of styling on location or in-chair, timed around the rest of your morning.

Men's Floor

Clipper and scissor cuts, beard sculpting, and a hot towel finish — no wait, no small talk required.

Extensions & Texture

Tape-in and keratin extensions, plus texture services for curl pattern, volume, or a controlled straighten.

The appointment, start to finish

Four steps. Nothing skipped, nothing dragged out.

01

Reserve your slot

Book online in under a minute — pick a stylist by name or let us match you to one.

02

Five-minute consult

Your stylist checks hair condition and shape before touching a single strand, and flags anything color needs a patch test for.

03

In the chair

Your service, at your pace, with a strand test before any permanent color goes on.

04

Off you go

Styling notes for home, product recommendations only if you ask, and your next date already on the books.

In their words

1,240 reviews. Here are six we didn't write ourselves.

Reyna talked me out of the color I walked in with and she was right to. Second balayage appointment there and it's grown out better than any color I've paid twice as much for.

Priya NandakumarBalayage

In and out in 25 minutes, exactly the fade I asked for. Jordan doesn't make it a whole production, which is all I want on a lunch break.

Marcus OdellMen's Floor

The trial run for my wedding hair ran about twenty minutes behind, which was the only hiccup in three visits. Elise still got the finished style closer to my inspiration photo than I expected.

Sofia Bianchi-ReyesBridal Trial

Bleached and box-dyed within an inch of its life by me, personally. Naomi did two bond-repair sessions before she'd even discuss lightening it further. It took longer than I wanted but my hair is actually hair again.

Devon WhitfieldBond Treatment

First haircut since I was a teenager that didn't involve me nervously over-explaining what I wanted. They asked good questions instead. Cutting off eleven inches felt like nothing.

Aaliyah CrossCut & Finish

Been going for six years. Saturday mornings can run fifteen minutes behind if the appointment before you gets chatty, but that's my only note. Same cut, every time, no surprises.

Our story

Twelve years of doing fewer things, better.

Naomi Ashcroft spent six years cutting hair on editorial sets before she opened Ash & Amber — tired of shoots where the hair looked incredible for four hours and unmanageable ever after. She built a salon around the opposite idea: cuts and color meant to survive a real week, not a photograph.

That's still the whole philosophy. Six stylists, one floor, no upsell script. If a treatment won't hold up by day three, we won't book it just because you asked.

— Naomi Ashcroft, Founder

Before you book

Questions people actually ask us.

Yes, when a stylist has an open chair — usually weekday mornings. Booking ahead guarantees your stylist and your time, so we recommend it for color or anything longer than a cut.

Free to cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours ahead. Inside 24 hours, we ask for a 50% deposit on your next visit — chairs held for you are chairs we turn away other clients for.

Always. Five to ten minutes with your stylist before anything happens, no charge, no obligation to book further if it's not the right fit.

Yes, for any first-time color client — required at least 48 hours before your appointment. Returning color clients are tested periodically as a precaution.

Free lot behind the building, entrance on Birch Hollow Lane. Street parking is also unmetered on weekends.

A mix of professional-grade, cruelty-free lines chosen per hair type rather than one house brand — your stylist will tell you exactly what's going on your hair and why.

Your chair is open. Let's find a time.
